TERMS OF SERVICE - Inspire
These Terms Of Service (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you (“you”, “attendee”) and Subthread Media Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) for your attendance at Inspire, our one-day ideas lab for brand, agency and culture makers (the “Event”).
By purchasing a ticket for, or attending, Inspire you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Tickets, Transfers And Refunds
Tickets are sold via our designated ticketing platform. A ticket purchase is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.
Your ticket gives you access to the Event on the stated date, plus any food, drink or materials we explicitly include in the ticket description. Travel, accommodation and other expenses are not included.
Unless we state otherwise on the ticketing page, tickets are non‑refundable except where required by law.
You may request a name change/transfer of your ticket to another person by emailing us using the contact details below. We reserve the right to set a cut‑off date for transfers and to refuse transfer requests made after that date.
We reserve the right to refuse admission where a ticket has been obtained fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.
2. Event Changes, Postponement And Cancellation
We may make reasonable changes to the Event, including to the speakers, schedule, content, format or running order. A change of this nature does not entitle you to a refund.
We may need to change the venue to another location within a reasonable distance of the original venue. Your ticket will remain valid for the new venue.
In the unlikely event that we cancel or postpone the Event, we will notify you using the contact details you provided when purchasing your ticket. Where we cancel the Event and do not reschedule it, you will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price you paid. We will not be responsible for any additional costs you incur (including travel, accommodation or other expenses).
Where the Event is postponed, your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may contact us to discuss your options.
3. Code Of Conduct And Behaviour
Inspire is a curated environment for open, thoughtful conversation. We expect all attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff to help maintain a respectful, harassment‑free experience.
We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form, including but not limited to behaviour related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or job role. Intimidating, abusive, aggressive or otherwise disruptive behaviour towards attendees, speakers, staff or venue personnel is not acceptable.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse entry to, or remove from the Event (without refund), any person who:
breaches these Terms or any applicable law;
behaves in a way we consider unsafe, disruptive or likely to cause damage, nuisance or distress; or
is adversely affected by alcohol or drugs.
4. Venue, Health And Safety
The Event will take place at a third‑party venue. You agree to comply with all venue rules, regulations and policies notified to you by us, the venue or venue staff.
You must follow all health and safety instructions given by us, the venue or venue staff, including in relation to fire safety, emergency procedures, access routes and any restricted areas.
You must not bring any illegal substances, weapons or other dangerous items to the Event.
If we or the venue believe your actions put yourself or others at risk, we may require you to leave the Event immediately.
5. Liability
You attend the Event and participate in any related activities at your own risk. You are responsible for your own property and we are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to your personal belongings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
any indirect, consequential or special loss or damage;
loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity; or
any costs you incur in connection with the Event, including travel and accommodation.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
6. Data, Communications And Privacy
When you purchase a ticket, we collect certain information from you (such as your name, contact details, role and organisation) to administer your attendance.
We use this information to:
process your ticket purchase and manage your attendance;
send you essential Event information (for example, joining details, changes or feedback requests); and
where you have consented or where we have a legitimate interest, send you updates about future Inspire events and related content or offerings from us.
We may share necessary attendee information with our ticketing provider, the venue and selected service providers strictly for the purposes of delivering the Event.
Any broader use of your data, including your rights and choices, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which applies in addition to these Terms.
7. Photography, Filming And Use Of Likeness
Photography, audio recording and video recording may take place at the Event.
By attending, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded, and you grant us the right to use, reproduce and publish such images and recordings (including your likeness, voice and contributions) in connection with the Event and our activities. This may include use on our websites, social channels, newsletters, decks and other promotional or editorial materials, without further notice to you or payment.
If you have specific concerns about being photographed or recorded, please speak to a member of the Event team on the day so we can try to accommodate them.
8. Content, Intellectual Property And Recordings
All rights in the Event content (including talks, panels, workshops and materials) are owned by us or by the relevant speakers or partners.
Unless we clearly state otherwise, you may not:
record or livestream sessions in full;
reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Event content or materials; or
use our name, logos or branding in a way that suggests endorsement without our prior written consent.
We may record sessions and use, edit and distribute those recordings for editorial or promotional purposes.
Any Event materials we provide (such as slides, digital resources or handouts) are for your personal use only and may not be shared or reused commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.
9. Accessibility And Special Requirements
We aim to make Inspire as accessible as we reasonably can within the constraints of the venue.
If you have accessibility requirements, health needs or other special requirements, please contact us as early as possible before the Event using the details below so we can discuss what adjustments may be possible.
10. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, any obligation under these Terms where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, for example, strikes, industrial disputes, extreme weather, natural disasters, power failures, failure of third‑party suppliers, government restrictions, public health emergencies, terrorism or threat of terrorism.
Where a force majeure event makes it impossible or impractical to run the Event as planned, we may cancel, postpone or change the Event. Our obligations to you will then be limited to any express remedies we offer at that time (for example, rescheduling or a ticket credit/refund, at our discretion and in line with applicable law).
11. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you purchase your ticket or attend the Event will apply.
These Terms, together with any other documents referenced in them, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Event.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
12. Contact
